Your first appointment

If your appointment is for a check up, prepare for:

• approximately 60 minutes.
• A complete clinical exam.
• Necessary x-rays.
• A cleaning and polishing.
• A charting of your teeth (a blueprint of any existing fillings and conditions as well as visual representation of what needs to be done).
• A discussion of the necessary treatments

If your appointment is for a specific dental issue (consultation), prepare for:

• approximately 30 minutes.
• A clinical exam and an x-ray if necessary.
• A discussion of the problem with an explanation of the causes of such a condition.
• Options for treatment with explanation of risks and potential complications, rationale for treatment versus consequences of no treatment as well as fees and time commitments for each option.
