Dr Ghassan El-Onsi
Dr. Ghassan El-Onsi completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University in Montreal. He began his dental education at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, later transferring to McGill University where he completed his dental degree in 1998. Dr. El-Onsi then went on to pursue graduate training as part of a General Practice Residency at the Montreal General Hospital.
Since 1999, Dr El-Onsi has been involved in both the graduate and undergraduate teaching at McGill University’s Faculty of Dentistry. Dr El-Onsi is proud to be a part of the clinical instruction team for the third year dental students at McGill as well as the residents at the Montreal General Hospital site of the McGill University Health Center.
Dr El-Onsi keeps on the verge of the latest techniques, and has completed extensive continuing education courses. He is an Invisalign™ certified treatment provider. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Misch Implant Institute and has completed numerous advanced bone and soft tissue grafting mini-residencies. Dr El-Onsi has earned a Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr El-Onsi’s certifications in Nitrous Oxide & Oral Sedation from the University of Toronto and in IV (intravenous) Sedation from the Toronto Implant Institute enable him to offer his patients the option of sedation during surgical procedures. Dr. El-Onsi’s practice mainly focuses on minor oral surgical procedures such as the extraction of wisdom teeth and the placement of dental implants.
